The Golden Retriever's history traces back to mid-19th century Scotland, where the breed was developed primarily for retrieving waterfowl. Through careful crosses involving yellow Flat-Coated Retrievers and Tweed Water Spaniels, today's beloved breed was established. Adults typically stand 51–61 cm tall and weigh 25–35 kg, with a distinctive wavy coat ranging from pale cream to rich golden. Their gentle, patient temperament and eagerness to greet strangers with a wagging tail have been consistently bred across generations.
