About
The Chinchilla (Chinchilla Persian) is a variety of the Persian cat distinguished by its delicate tipped coat, in which only the very tip of each hair is colored. This creates a sparkling silver or golden appearance over a pale undercoat. The breed is known for its large emerald or blue-green eyes outlined by dark eyeliner-like markings. Like other Persians it has a stocky, cobby body and a long, luxurious coat that requires daily grooming. Chinchillas are generally calm, gentle, and prefer a quiet indoor environment.
