The peach-fronted conure (Eupsittula aurea) is widespread in open savanna and light woodland across central South America, centred on Brazil. The German naturalist Johann Friedrich Gmelin described it in 1788 as Psittacus aureus. No subspecies are recognised. The World Parrot Trust calls it one of the most popular conures of recent years while noting that breeding remains limited. Generic placement differs between databases, and GBIF treats Aratinga aurea as the accepted name.
