About
Ouhi is an albino-based medaka combining body luster, fin luster and scale luster, with colors from white through pale pink, orange and red-and-white; the net-like sheen on the back and the glow reaching the fin tips give it an elegant look. Long-fin individuals with extended dorsal and anal fins also occur, letting one enjoy multiple colors, fin luster and long fins together. Being a red-eyed albino with weak eyesight, it needs food that reaches it and a bright spot out of harsh sun. Care is possible outdoors at 15-28°C but demands a little more attention, and albino fry, with lower early survival, must be raised carefully on fine food.
