Marine Blue medaka is a representative blue medaka variety derived from Miyuki lineage, whose deep blue body color evokes the open sea. The indigo-to-deep-blue coloration shifts in expression depending on viewing angle and light, creating a cool and elegant beauty. White containers or bright backgrounds best bring out the blue, though the variety also holds strong presence in dark containers. Hardy in 5–30°C, neutral to slightly alkaline water. Compatible with green water (phytoplankton-rich) and outdoor biotope setups. Selective breeding of deeply blue individuals produces more intensely colored offspring.
