Blue and black tones in goldfish fade and shift readily, and the coloration can change with growth or environment, so a stable environment is preferable for maintaining the color. Being an unusual color, it is popular among enthusiasts in Japan as well. House it in a tank of 60 liters or more with clean water; being omnivorous, feed mainly prepared foods supplemented with bloodworms or daphnia.
