A bacterial infection (commonly Columnaris) that causes fins to dissolve and fray. Poor water quality or physical injury often triggers it; early detection is key to recovery.
Common symptoms
- Fin tips turn white
- Fins dissolve or tear
- Redness in fins and gills
- Condition progresses to body surface in severe cases
