關於這種疾病

A highly contagious viral disease caused by feline parvovirus that destroys white blood cells and intestinal cells. Mortality is very high in kittens; the virus survives in the environment for extended periods, making vaccination the most effective prevention.

主要症狀

• Sudden fever and lethargy
• Severe vomiting and complete loss of appetite
• Watery or bloody diarrhea
• Rapid deterioration and dehydration

主要原因

• Infection with feline parvovirus
• Contact with feces, vomit, or secretions of infected cats
• Virus-contaminated environment or equipment
• Unvaccinated kittens (highest risk group)

預防（飼養環境與日常照護）

Regular vaccination (FVRCP) is the most effective prevention. Quarantine and test new cats, and regularly clean and disinfect the environment.

Veterinarians confirm infection through rapid antigen testing and blood work showing dramatically reduced white blood cell counts. Intensive supportive care — intravenous fluids, antiemetics, and nutritional support — is provided. Antibiotics may be used to prevent secondary infections.
