Crested Gecko appraisal
A gecko whose charm lies in its crest (protrusions from the head along the back) and distinctive fire pattern. Rich color morphs (Harlequin, Dalmatian, Pinstripe, etc.) and color vibrancy are evaluation points.

What determines the price
Types of color morphs and patterns
HighMorphs such as Harlequin, Dalmatian, Pinstripe, Flame, and Tiger, along with the vibrancy of fire (color intensity), are evaluated.
The intensity of fire (color intensity)
HighCrested geckos fire up when temperature increases, making body color more vivid. The intensity of color expression during fire-up is the core of evaluation.
Crest condition and alignment
MediumThe alignment of the crest (row of protrusions) from head along the back and the absence of damage affects external appearance evaluation.
Health condition (body weight, skin, tail)
HighBasic evaluation includes that body weight is appropriate for age, skin is free of damage, and the tail is not missing (or if autotomy occurred, confirming whether it is a regenerated tail).
Appraisal points
Verify color intensity during fire-up

- Good:
- During fire-up, body color changes vividly, with morph characteristics showing distinctly vivid expression.
- Caution:
- In a cold state, color expression is muted, so evaluation during fire-up is preferable.
Verify crest condition
- Good:
- The crest from head along the back is well-aligned with minimal damage.
- Caution:
- For individuals with crest damage, verify as external appearance evaluation will differ.
Confirm health status
- Good:
- Body weight is appropriate for age, skin is clear, and eyes have brightness.
- Caution:
- If the tail has been autotomized, confirm it is a regenerated tail (regenerated tails do not return to their original form).
