What determines the price

• Rarity of morph, complexity of combo.

  High

  Ball python morphs are diverse, and the combination of combo morphs determines rarity. Rare morphs such as Pied Ball and Crown are especially highly valued.

• Strength of morph expression, contrast.

  High

  The contrast and clarity of body coloration and pattern indicate the completeness of the morph. The stronger the expression, the higher the evaluation.

• Health condition (body structure, skin, eyes).

  High

  The body should have appropriate thickness and length with visible muscle tone. Clear eyes, no incomplete sheds, and no abnormalities around the mouth are basic points to verify.

• Feeding history, feeding status.

  Medium

  Whether feeding on frozen mice and similar foods is stable. Individuals with frequent feeding refusal may be difficult to handle.

Appraisal points

Confirm morph expression.

Good:

Morph body coloration and pattern are clear, and in combo morphs each trait is distinctly expressed.

Caution:

Even with multiple morph names, expression may be weak. Always verify the actual expression in the specimen.

Check body structure and health condition.

Good:

The body has appropriate thickness with visible muscle tone, skin is free of injuries, and eyes are clear. No incomplete sheds.

Caution:

If excessively thin, has bumps, or has secretions from the mouth, health problems are possible.

Check feeding history

Good:

Feeding on frozen mice and similar prey is stable, with multiple successful feeding instances.

Caution:

For individuals that have only eaten once or whose feeding status is unclear, verify that there is no anorexia risk.
