Our White-bellied Caique girl is getting more and more attached to us!

She weighs 150 grams and is a female chick born on June 13th! She has become quite attached to us. Her body shape is almost the same as an adult parrot, but her biting strength shows she's still very much a chick. (^◇^;)

亀田養魚で生産しているメダカをご紹介します

亀田養魚では、栃木県の養魚場でメダカの生産・販売を行っています。 ブリちょくで初めてのブログとなりますので、今回は亀田養魚でどのようなメダカを生産しているのかをご紹介します。 当店では、楊貴妃メダカやミユキメダカをはじめ、白メダカ、パンダメダカ、透明鱗メダカ、ブラック系メダカなど、昔から親しまれている定番品種を中心に生産しています。 そのほかにも、ブラックヒレ長、ブラックランプアイ、ラメメダカ、ロングフィン、リアルロングフィンなど、特徴の分かりやすいメダカも育てています。 特に楊貴妃とミユキは、亀田養魚でも長く生産を続けている品種です。 ミユキについては、背中の体外光がしっかり入った強光〜フルボディを中心に、ロングフィンやリアルロングフィンなども生産しています。 亀田養魚では、少数の珍しいメダカを高価格で販売するというよりも、丈夫で飼いやすく、特徴の分かりやすいメダカをまとまった数生産し、できるだけ購入しやすい価格で販売することを大切にしています。 飼育はビニールハウスを基本とした無加温飼育です。 春から夏にかけて親メダカから採卵し、稚魚を育て、成長した個体を順次販売しています。そのため、販売している品種やサイズは季節や生産状況によって変わります。 現在は、楊貴妃メダカやミユキメダカのS〜Mサイズ50匹セットなど、まとまった数での販売も行っています。 今後このブログでは、販売しているメダカの紹介だけでなく、養魚場での飼育の様子や、その時期のメダカの状態、生産について考えていることなども少しずつ紹介していきたいと思います。 よろしくお願いいたします。

Almost self-feeding! Full of energy, White-bellied Caique

This is a White-bellied Caique chick born on June 13th, 2026! I hand-feed it just once a day, partly to help it bond with me. After hand-feeding, it comes over wanting to play. A characteristic of White-bellied Caique chicks is that the black feathers on their head will eventually turn orange, just like the adult birds. (o^^o)

Medaka Breeding at Kameda Yogyo

Kameda Yogyo is a medaka (Japanese rice fish) specialty farm established in 2007 in Moka City, Tochigi Prefecture. Using unheated breeding methods centered around vinyl greenhouses, we produce medaka varieties such as Youkihi, Miyuki, Black, Long-fin, and Real Long Fin types. Rather than simply chasing trends, we place great importance on breeding medaka that clearly showcase their distinctive characteristics while being hardy and easy to care for. From spring through summer, we conduct daily feeding, egg collection, and fry management while raising our medaka for sales starting in autumn. This blog will introduce the medaka we raise at Kameda Yogyo, the varieties we plan to sell, and the daily happenings at our production site.
