Medaka Breeding at Kameda Yogyo
Kameda Yogyo is a medaka (Japanese rice fish) specialty farm established in 2007 in Moka City, Tochigi Prefecture.
Using unheated breeding methods centered around vinyl greenhouses, we produce medaka varieties such as Youkihi, Miyuki, Black, Long-fin, and Real Long Fin types.
Rather than simply chasing trends, we place great importance on breeding medaka that clearly showcase their distinctive characteristics while being hardy and easy to care for.
From spring through summer, we conduct daily feeding, egg collection, and fry management while raising our medaka for sales starting in autumn.
This blog will introduce the medaka we raise at Kameda Yogyo, the varieties we plan to sell, and the daily happenings at our production site.
