A beautiful medaka shining like Princess Kaguya from the tale. Hikari body with multicolor lame, a gorgeous variety.
Kaguya medaka is a luxurious improved variety combining the hikari body type with multicolor lame, named for Princess Kaguya from the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, whose mystical brilliance captivates all who see her. The hikari body type's symmetrical fins and dorsal external light combine with multicolor lame that shifts through seven colors depending on light angle. LED lighting showcases it at its most breathtaking, with each lame color independently sparkling. Hardy in 5–30°C, neutral to slightly alkaline water. Selecting parents with the most diverse and densely lame-covered bodies is key to quality. Hikari x hikari crosses increase hikari offspring proportion. A highly valued variety prized among advanced enthusiasts.
