Galaxy medaka is a fantastical improved variety with multicolor lame scattered across the body like a cosmic galaxy. Blue, white, gold, pink, and other lame colors scattered over the body evoke nebulae and galaxies of the universe. Fixation rate for multicolor lame is low — mass breeding and rigorous selection are needed to produce individuals with ideal color distribution and density. LED lighting showcases each colored lame at its most brilliant. Hardy in 5–30°C, neutral to slightly alkaline water. Dark containers under LED lighting best express the galaxy aesthetic. Selecting parents with the most colors and highest lame density maximizes multicolor expression in offspring.
