🔎 依症狀查找
關於這種疾病
Loss or damage of the tarsal segments or claws at the tips of a beetle's legs, typically caused by falls, fighting, or contact with abrasive surfaces. Rarely life-threatening but reduces the beetle's ability to grip and climb.
主要症狀
- Some or all claws or tarsal segments at the tips of the legs are missing
- The beetle drags a leg or shows an abnormal gait
- The beetle cannot climb bark or perches and falls easily
- The damaged area appears reddened or shows oozing of body fluid immediately after injury
主要原因
- Trauma sustained while struggling after a fall inside the enclosure
- Leg damage from fighting with a co-housed individual
- Claws catching on rough mesh lids or coarse plastic surfaces
- Physical impact received immediately after eclosion before the exoskeleton hardened
預防(飼養環境與日常照護)
House beetles individually as the default. Provide ample bark pieces and climbing branches to prevent falls. Avoid rough mesh surfaces on enclosure lids or walls. After eclosion, keep newly emerged beetles in a quiet, undisturbed environment until the exoskeleton fully hardens over several weeks.

Medical intervention specifically for tarsal loss is generally not performed, but consulting an insect specialty shop or breeder provides guidance on managing affected individuals — including individual housing, substrate selection, and fall-prevention measures.
