Frequently Asked Questions
If the breeder already vaccinated, do I need more shots?
Maternal antibodies clear between 8–16 weeks; 3 total doses are standard. Bring the breeder's record to the vet to confirm remaining doses.
When can I take my puppy for walks?
Dogs: typically 2 weeks after the 3rd dose (~4 months). Socialization (4–14 weeks) is critical — carried walks and visits to friends' homes are encouraged earlier. Cats: indoor only is preferred.
Can rabies and combo be given together?
Generally space them at least 1 week to reduce adverse-reaction risk.
What to do for vaccine reactions?
Acute reactions (anaphylaxis) usually occur within 15–30 min; wait at the clinic. For facial swelling, vomiting, lethargy within 24 hours, contact the clinic immediately.
