×Graptoveria
An intergeneric hybrid of Graptopetalum and Echeveria. Inherits the best of both parents - hardy and beautiful.
Graptoveria is an intergeneric hybrid genus resulting from crosses between Graptopetalum and Echeveria. Hybrids combine the superior hardiness and drought tolerance of Graptopetalum with the rosette elegance and color range of Echeveria, producing plants that are generally easier to grow than pure Echeveria while retaining beautiful form. Popular cultivars include 'Debie', with pale lavender rosettes that intensify to vivid pink-purple in cool weather, and the large salmon-pink 'Fred Ives'. Mature rosettes range from about 5 to 20 cm across depending on cultivar. Full to partial sun brings out the best coloration. Watering should be moderate and infrequent, with the soil allowed to dry between applications. Most cultivars tolerate temperatures down to 0–5°C. Leaf and stem cuttings propagate readily.
