Kameda Aquaculture is a medaka (Japanese killifish) specialist shop established in 2007. We produce medaka in Moka, Tochigi Prefecture, and conduct nationwide sales centered on our own online store "Medaka.Shop." We primarily produce medaka varieties with easily recognizable characteristics, such as Yōkihi, Miyuki, Black, long-fin types, and real long-fin types. We practice unheated cultivation primarily using vinyl houses, adjusting to seasonal changes while striving to produce hardy and easy-to-keep medaka. As a direct producer-to-consumer seller, we are committed to delivering medaka that even first-time keepers can enjoy with confidence, at appropriate prices.

Health Guarantee

As a dead-on-arrival guarantee, we will send more animals than the indicated quantity. Since these are living creatures, we cannot accept returns or exchanges due to customer circumstances after shipment. If there is significant dead-on-arrival upon arrival, please contact us on the day of arrival with a photo showing the unopened bag condition. We will respond as much as possible after confirming the situation. Problems that occur during acclimation after arrival, after opening, or due to rearing environment are not covered by the guarantee.

Facilities

At our fish farm in Moka City, Tochigi Prefecture, we produce medaka using vinyl greenhouses and multiple breeding containers. We focus on unheated cultivation in vinyl greenhouses and adjust our processes for egg collection, juvenile rearing, selection, and shipment management according to seasonal changes. Using groundwater, we carefully monitor sunlight, ventilation, water temperature, and water quality while striving to raise healthy, robust medaka.
