The Norwich Terrier is a breed of dog originating in England. It is one of the smallest terrier breeds, along with the Norfolk Terrier, from which it is distinguished by its erect, pointed ears. Both breeds were once classified together, but were officially separated in 1964. The Norwich Terrier was originally used to hunt small rodents and vermin. Unlike many terriers, it tends to be sociable with other dogs. It is a sturdy, active, and courageous small dog with a wiry outer coat.
