It is characterized by long, slender petioles tipped with small, rounded, mucilage-bearing laminae, a rosette structure quite different in appearance from most sundews. The species is adapted to the strongly seasonal Australian monsoon climate, actively growing during the wet season and entering a period of reduced activity or dormancy during the dry season—a cycle that should be mimicked in cultivation for optimal health.
