尖吻鷹魚（Oxycirrhites typus）是生活在印度洋・太平洋較深珊瑚礁（水深10-100公尺）的鷹魚科小型海水魚。以白色基底上的紅色網格紋和顯著伸長的吻部（鼻尖）為特徵。鷹魚類共有的在珊瑚或岩石上靜止瞄準獵物的「止棲行為」非常容易觀察，性格極具個性。好奇心旺盛且親人，甚至可能認識飼主並習慣於人類。由於肉食性並捕食小型魚和甲殼類，混養時需謹慎選擇伴魚。在100升以上的水族箱中放置可作為止棲處的岩石和珊瑚，便能享受其自然行為。
