Elina

Bred by Dickson (UK) in 1983 and inducted into the World Rose Hall of Fame in 1994, 'Elina' is admired above all for the perfection of its bloom form: large, high-centered flowers in a soft, warm cream-yellow that open slowly and maintain their classic shape over a long period. Disease resistance — against both black spot and powdery mildew — is excellent, and cold hardiness is strong, making it among the most reliable of all hybrid teas. Repeat-blooming is steady and dependable from spring through autumn. While fragrance is light, this is more than compensated for by the quality of the bloom. Growing to 1–1.4m in a compact, upright habit, it tolerates hard pruning well — an additional advantage for the less experienced gardener.
