Angela

Bred by Kordes (Germany) in 1984, 'Angela' is a floribunda rose celebrated for the sheer abundance of its flowering. Deep rose-pink, small to medium cupped blooms are produced in extraordinarily large clusters, creating a cascading effect when the plant is grown to its full size of 1.5–2m as a shrub or over 3m as a trained climber. Repeat-blooming continues reliably from spring through autumn. In keeping with Kordes breeding philosophy, disease resistance and cold hardiness are excellent, making it one of the most carefree garden roses available. It is at its most impressive when planted in the ground and allowed to develop into a large specimen; trained against fences or walls, it can cover substantial surfaces with bloom. Deadheading by removing entire spent clusters accelerates the next flush.
