Kuro Lame Miyuki medaka is a premium improved variety fusing three traits: Orochi-lineage jet-black body, Miyuki external body light, and blue lame. The jet-black body features a silver-blue external light line with blue lame scattered like night-sky stars above — a uniquely mystical beauty. External light coverage (weak to iron-mask) and lame density and brightness are the quality criteria; individuals excelling in both command premium value. Dark containers best simultaneously showcase all three traits. Hardy in 5–30°C, neutral to slightly alkaline water. Selecting parents with dense lame and wide external light maintains and improves quality across generations.
