A renowned echeveria cultivar with beautiful purple-pink rosette. Classic loved worldwide.
Echeveria 'Perle von Nürnberg' (Pearl of Nürnberg) is a classic cultivar bred in Germany in the 1930s from a cross between E. gibbiflora var. metallica and E. potosina. It is among the most widely grown Echeveria cultivars in the world, cherished for its symmetrical rosettes of pearlescent lavender-pink leaves enveloped in a fine powdery bloom. Rosettes mature to 10–20 cm across. Coloration is most vivid in bright sun and cool temperatures. Watering should be conservative, with the soil fully dried between sessions; summer heat and humidity require careful attention to prevent rot. Cold tolerance extends to approximately 3–5°C. The cultivar propagates well by leaf cuttings, stem cuttings, or offsets. It is also the parent of several secondary cultivars, most notably the variegated 'Rainbow'.
