Nepenthes mirabilis has the widest natural distribution of any Nepenthes species, ranging from southern China and mainland Southeast Asia through the Indonesian archipelago to the Philippines and northern Australia. It inhabits a diverse array of lowland habitats including coastal sandy heathlands, grasslands, and forest margins, and displays considerable morphological and color variation across its range. As a robust lowland species, it thrives at warm temperatures of 20–35°C and is intolerant of cold. Cultivation is straightforward using sphagnum or peat-perlite media with consistent moisture and humidity above 50%. Its wide adaptability and ease of care make N. mirabilis one of the best introductory Nepenthes for beginners.
