Eriocaulon Cinereum

Eriocaulon cinereum is an aquatic plant in the family Eriocaulaceae, native to tropical and subtropical regions of Asia and Oceania, recognized for its beautiful rosette form with thin leaves radiating outward. Most commonly used as a focal point in the foreground, it provides a distinctive accent when planted among green carpets. It requires very strong lighting and pressurized CO2 injection, with a strong preference for soft, slightly acidic water. Solid root-zone fertilizer is effective for nutrition, while excessive liquid fertilizer application risks promoting algae growth. With an annual-like nature, it may die after flowering, but can continue growing from lateral shoots in good conditions. Cultivation difficulty is relatively high, but its beautiful form maintains lasting popularity among aquascapers.
