Its warm shimmer, like sunlight reflecting off the evening sea, pairs orange body color with glittering lame to create warmth and luxury simultaneously. Many strains combine Youkihi-lineage orange body color with lame traits. Dark containers best showcase the lame sparkle. Hardy in 5–30°C, neutral to slightly alkaline water. Regular carotenoid-rich color-enhancing food maintains orange coloration. Selective breeding of densely lame-covered individuals maintains and improves lame quality.
