Diamond Dust medaka is an improved variety with fine, uniformly distributed lame scales scattered across the body like powdery snow (diamond dust). The delicate, uniform sparkle — more like scattered light than coarse lame — creates a uniquely beautiful effect unlike coarser lame varieties. Body colors tend toward pale tones such as white, silver, or light blue, which synergize with the lame for a clean, luminous appearance. Bright environments and sunlight best showcase the fine lame. Hardy in 5–30°C, neutral to slightly alkaline water. Selecting individuals with uniformly fine and densely distributed lame maintains quality. Easy to breed. Peaceful and community-friendly.
