Muscular with expressive face. Playful and loyal. Great with kids.
The Boxer is a medium to large breed of working dog developed in Germany. Its ancestors include the now-extinct Bullenbeisser and the Bulldog. Boxers are known for their muscular, square-jawed build and their expressive, short-muzzled faces. They are brachycephalic and thus sensitive to heat and strenuous exercise in warm weather. Boxers are energetic, playful, and loyal family dogs, often described as having a "puppy-like" personality throughout their lives. They are intelligent and trainable, and have historically served as working dogs in military and police roles.
