The Dwelf is an experimental designer breed created in the United States in the 2000s by combining three breeds: the Sphynx, American Curl, and Munchkin. Its name is a portmanteau of "dwarf" and "elf," reflecting its small stature and elf-like appearance. The breed combines the Sphynx's hairlessness, the American Curl's backward-curving ears, and the Munchkin's short legs. Like the Sphynx, Dwelfs require regular bathing and warm living conditions. They are highly social, affectionate, and playful. The breed is not recognized by major cat registries, and health concerns encompass the combined risks of all three contributing breeds.
