Echeveria Rainbow

Echeveria 'Rainbow' is a variegated sport of E. 'Perle von Nürnberg', featuring cream-white variegation on greyish-green leaves with vivid pink to rose-red margins that intensify in strong light. It is among the most colorful and sought-after variegated Echeveria cultivars. Mature rosettes are 10–20 cm across. While full sun enhances the pink coloration, the reduced chlorophyll in variegated zones makes the plant more susceptible to sunscorch than non-variegated types; gradual acclimatization to direct sun is advisable. Watering should be minimal, with the soil fully dried between sessions. The variegated areas are also more prone to rot in humid conditions, making summer management critical. Growth is somewhat slower than the parent cultivar. Leaf propagation may not reliably reproduce the variegation. Cold tolerance is approximately 3–5°C.
