Yume

A Japanese-bred hybrid tea rose, 'Yume' ('Dream') lives up to its romantic name through blooms that transition from soft salmon-pink at the center to pale cream at the petal margins — a gentle, dream-like gradation of exceptional delicacy. The many-petalled flowers open slowly over an extended period, maintaining their beautiful form far longer than most hybrid teas. Fragrance is a pleasant, moderate note. Strong stems and good vase life make it an excellent cutting rose, popular for bridal work and gifts. At 1–1.3m, the plant is a manageable size for both containers and garden beds. It is well-adapted to Japan's warm and humid summers, with reliable repeat-blooming from spring through autumn. Winter pruning to one-third, combined with consistent deadheading, maintains a steady succession of flowers.
