Cross between Munchkin and Selkirk Rex. Short legs with curly coat, adorable lamb-like appearance.
The Lambkin, also known as the Nanus Rex, is a rare experimental breed created by crossing the Munchkin with the Selkirk Rex. Developed in the United States in the 1990s, the breed combines the Munchkin's short legs with the Selkirk Rex's thick, curly coat, giving it a lamb-like appearance that inspired its name. Both short-haired and long-haired varieties exist. The Lambkin is not recognized by major cat registries and remains extremely rare. They are gentle, affectionate, and playful cats. Health concerns include skeletal issues related to the short-leg mutation and the genetic challenges associated with a very limited breeding pool.
