The Aphrodite Giant, also known as the Saint Helen Cat or Cyprus Cat, is a natural breed originating from the island of Cyprus, where cats have been documented for thousands of years. Cyprus is notably home to one of the oldest known evidence of cat domestication, with a 9,500-year-old burial site. The Aphrodite is a large, muscular cat adapted to the mountainous terrain of Cyprus. Both short-haired and long-haired varieties exist. They are gentle, affectionate, and highly adaptable, with the robust health typical of a natural landrace breed. The breed is recognized by WCF.
