Division

Best suited for Venus flytraps (Dionaea). In spring when emerging from dormancy, separate the rhizome at natural division points. Confirm that each division has well-established roots and plant in a mix of peat moss and perlite.

Leaf Cuttings

Particularly successful with sundews (Drosera). Cut a healthy leaf from the base and lay it on moistened peat moss. Maintaining high humidity produces tiny new plantlets in 4–6 weeks. Using a lidded container or plastic wrap to maintain humidity is the key.

Stem Cuttings
