The RagaMuffin is a breed derived from the Ragdoll, established in 1994 when a group of Ragdoll breeders split from the original Ragdoll organization to develop a new breed with a wider range of colors and patterns. Like the Ragdoll, the RagaMuffin is a large, heavy cat with a semi-long, rabbit-like coat and a gentle, docile temperament. Adults can weigh between 4.5 and 9 kg. They are known for going limp when held and for their kitten-like affectionate nature that persists throughout their lives. They are prone to obesity and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM).
