Calico Ryukin Long Tail

The Calico Ryukin Long-tail combines three visually spectacular features: the Ryukin's bold, high-shouldered body profile, the complex nacreous calico coloration (a mosaic of red, white, black, and blue tones unique to each individual), and exceptionally long, flowing double tail fins. The result is one of the most ornate and impressive fancy goldfish varieties available. The long tail adds dramatic movement and scale to the already striking Ryukin body and calico pattern, making side-view observation the ideal appreciation angle. Tail forms include three-tail, four-tail, and cherry-blossom tail varieties. Care requirements follow Ryukin standards—spacious tanks of 60 liters or more with stable temperature of 18–25°C—with added attention to water flow, which must be kept gentle to protect the delicate extended tail from damage or tearing. Regular water changes are critical to prevent fin rot. Moderate feeding is essential to avoid swim bladder disorder.
